Here's his exciting letter to Real Madrid fans:
I always said: Real Madrid is and will be my last club”
(Applause) My life as a football player but especially as a person. It was the beginning of a new chapter in the largest club in the world. After 10 years, at the end of the season this chapter ends. I will never forget the time of success! I would like to especially thank all those who welcomed me with open hearts and trusted me. But I especially want to thank you, dear Madridists, for your love from day one to the last. At the same time, this decision means that my career as active footballer will end this summer after the European Championship”.
I'm happy and proud that I found the right time for my decision in my mind and that I could choose it myself. My ambition was always to finish my career at the peak of my performance level. From now on, there's only one basic thought: ! HALA MADRID Y NADA MAS!”, Croos wrote.
