So has Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora Lisa Gashi, who said the same were registered under the e-diaspora platform, but also physical registration.
She said that as Governments are very focused that all policies that build for the future, be based on data that will emerge from this process.
It is true that Kosovo for the first time has started registering the population and diaspora members abroad. Within the days of the process, which began on April 5th and will continue until May 17th, we have about 300 thousand diaspora members who are registered within the platform of e-diaspora and physical registration. So, for the first beginnings, this process is going very well, and our goal is to find ways to inform our citizen in and out of the country about the process and the importance of the process because it is a very important and vital process for the Republic of Kosovo because in a sense it defines our policies for the next 10 years. As the government of the Republic of Kosovo, we are very focused that all the policies we build for the future are based on data and that data has been missing us for an extremely long time, especially in the diaspora field, which is one of the dictatorships related to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs”, Gashi has declared in an interview for the Voice of America.
Gashi has invited all exiles still on record to do so, saying it takes them 10 minutes.
So I'm using the case once again to ask all fellow countrymen to register within the e-diaspore because either through the registration or through the dedication of 10 minutes within the platform they give us a good opportunity to build sustainable policies on their base of”, Gashi said.
