Deputy Police Director in Northern Mitrovica Veton Elshan has spoken about the assassination against Marko Jablanovac [ Aleksandar Jablanoviq's brother], party member “for freedom of justice and survival”.
On a live line on the “Five” show, at RTV Dukagjini, Elshani says there are no detainees to date but that police are intensively dealing with the same case.
We can't talk suspiciously, but we can say we're seriously investigating this case. It's suspected that a person tried to pull off his weapon that didn't shoot him in the direction of this guy. The police are handling this case and there are no detainees so far. All the information stated in public, we examine them and send them to the prosecutor. Every public word that goes public, we get it on file. The prosecutor is the one who leads the investigations”, he said.
Whether this case has violated security in the north, Elshani says that “not large enough”.
That's because in the north, police have faced more serious situations.
“We are faced with serious situations so far, affecting it perhaps but not to a large extent. We have police killed in Banjska... we have our duty, our job is to prevent criminal acts and if they happen to shine. Where evidence is sent there and we go”, Elshani added.
Elshani has also talked about the attack on the Kosovo Police and the US KFOR.
“They were on joint patrol. A person has been taken to the street, has taken a bottle in front of our officials. This person was probably drunk too. We've entered the raid, we've stopped him another person, who because of his uniforms and hunting weapons.
Co-operation with KFOR is very good, I consider it to be very good, there is great progress in communications”.
