Kurt's replacement: Better elections in spring, but there's a good point for choice before winter

Kosovo Deputy Prime Minister Emilia Rexhepi has said that elections should be held and that Prime Minister Albin Kurti has spoken to opposition parties and other representatives of political parties in the country on this issue.

She has said the Kurti Government is stable, but that elections may be expected.

“We are stable government, but of course the elections may be expected”, Deputy Prime Minister Rexhepi has added further.

She has said that the government wants extraordinary elections and that it would be good for the elections to be held in the coming spring of the year, however, says that if there is an agreement between parties, there is a preference for elections before winter.

“I can't say a date for the distribution of parliament. Of course, after the distribution, the president is in charge of the election date within 45 days. We do not want to go to extraordinary elections. It would be good for them to happen in the spring. But if there is a consensus of all political parties, to open the election date. But if there is consensus among parties, then the date could be set for distribution of the assembly. It's about aphany, so the elections can be held before the winter.”, she said.
