The census deadline was from April 5th to May 17th, while at demand in some municipalities it has been extended for another week until May 24th.
The extension was made after there could be individuals -- family economies that had not been registered -- in Dragash, Pristina, Prizren, Drenas, Fushe Kosovo, Skenderaj, Obilic, Ferizaj, Shrpca, Kacanik and Gjakova.
Even in four northern municipalities, offices have been open at municipal facilities since 09 o'clock-18 a.m.
In the period the census was postponed, interviews were conducted by the staff of the Kosovo Statistics Agency (ASK).
Otherwise, the Diaspora census will continue to take place through the EDiapsora online platform (https://ediaspora.rks-gov.net/) through August 31st, 2024.
After the first week of registration, according to data from the Kosovo Statistics Agency (ASK), over 1 million and 420 thousand people were registered.
Referenced to this same period of time to the diaspora was over 400,000 registered online.
According to KSF officials, quality data in this census will be much better than in 2011.
Directors of the Kosovo Statistics Agency and the economy's connoisseur say the country needs literal citizens' evidence, and from this census they expect to have an improved economically in the country, a map of more effective policies in investment and also a realisation of citizens' rights, writes Online Economy.
