Details from the pledge letter for the Association draft: Constitutional, in late May

Donika Grovalla-Schwarz, Minister of Foreign Affairs, has written letters to the Council of Europe, and has announced that Kosovo is preparing a draft state for the establishment of “a mechanism for self-defence, co-ordination and co-operation of Serb majority municipalities in Kosovo”. “Letra contains the pledge that the government of the Republic of Kosovo will prepare a draft [...]
“Letra contains the pledge that the government of the Republic of Kosovo will prepare a draft for the creation of a mechanism for isolation, co-ordination and co-ordination of Serb majority municipalities in Kosovo, which fulfils Kosovo's inherited international obligations, meets the needs of the citizens of the Serb community of the Republic of Kosovo, but simultaneously respects the Constitution and in each detail all the laws of the Republic of Kosovo, as well as the principles of the Council of Europe”, says the minister's announcement this morning on Facebook.
According to Gervala, this draft-state meets the needs of the citizens of the Serb community and simultaneously respects the Kosovo Constitution and the principles of the Council of Europe.
“Draft provides not only the full respect of the Constitution and laws of the Republic of Kosovo, but at the same time unable to make illegal interventions from abroad, both in Kosovo municipalities and throughout the country”, She writes away.
The piece from the letter of the top diplomat Donika Gervalla-Schwarz to KiE:
In this direction, the Government of Kosovo is preparing a draft Statute for the Association of Serb Majorities (in the context of the pre-eminent obligations at nines 7 and 10), inspired by the Friedrich Ebert Foundation, which will be handed over to the Constitutional Court for Review by the end of May 2024”, writes in the letter of the Kosovo top diplomat.
Given these concrete and tangible steps taken by Kosovo, we expect the Committee of Ministers to have additional reasons to invite Kosovo to become the 47th member of the Council of Europe.
We thank you for your cooperation as we wait to improve our co-operation through full membership in the Council of Europe.
