University Professor Engelbert Zefaj in T7 has said that the economic situation in the country is very bad and if this trend doesn't stop we as a country will plant on the cliff.
If these trends continue, then there will be no economic perspective for this country. The macroeconomic factors point to this poor economic situation. On the other side of three times a day, the prime minister and the president also say there will be war in Kosovo and that we are threatened with war. They both take pride in speaking English well and in this language to understand the world as if there will be war. In a way, they are urging investors not to come to invest in Kosovo that there will be war and that there is no perspective”, Professor Zefaj has said.
Not to suffice for that, according to Professor Zefaj, Prime Minister Albin Kurti has created almost hostile reports with leading economic partners, and all of that brings major consequences to the local economy.
From the EU we now have sanctions until we have clear statements that until the Vetevendosje Movement is in power we will neither visit nor invite them to the US. These are very dangerous reports, and potential investors who can bring vitality and economic development listen to these and make Kosovo a bloc to come and invest”, Zefaj has added further.
On the other hand, according to Zefaj on the other side of these external factors, there are many internal factors that negatively affect economies such as extreme political polarisations and the loss of trust in institutions which are sending the local economy to the cliff.
