Svecla has said the Serbian List in both the past and now directed by Belgrade has exercised different forms for Serbs to boycott today's process.
He has praised security institutions for completing this process without incident.
I commend our security institutions, thanks to whose dedication today ended this election day without a single incident in the four northern municipalities. The Republic of Kosovo allowed citizens of four northern municipalities to decide today for the mayors of their four municipalities. On the other hand, the Serbian List, both in the past and now, through various forms instructed by Belgrade, boycotted and sabotaged the democratic process as opportunities to lead municipalities to new elections. This subject embedded with undemocratic methods does not find itself equally in such a democratic process”.
The Central Election Commission in co-operation with other institutions once again witnessed commitment to the implementation of its mandate and full respect for citizens' right to decide for their future. We will continue our commitment to our citizens regardless of differences, our institutions will be in service to all and to the security of our country. Kosovo is a democratic Republic, of all citizens indiscriminately”, has written Svechla
