After Prizren, on May 2nd, Tirana also graces Ali Ahmeti with the title “Honourary Citizen”

On May 2nd, Democratic Union of Integration Chairman Ali Ahmeti is expected to be named “Honourant Citizen of Tirana” by Mayor Erion Veliaj, Albanian Post listens.
This is the second decoration this month for Ahmeti, after early this month, Prizren's chairman, Shaqir Totaj, had decorated him with the title “civil servant honouring” of Prizren, during ceremonies that took place at the municipal assembly of this municipality, just on the 43rd anniversary of the April 2, 1981 demonstrations.
At the award-sharing ceremony, where no institutional officials were missing in Skopje and Pristina, the DUI leader expressed gratitude for Prizren, while adding that this title is dedicated to all activists of the national issue, Kosovo Liberation Army co-ordinators (UÇK) respectively.
I share this pleasure with my fellow fighters. Today, I am also a citizen of fellow fighters like Remzi Ademi, Dzevat Berisha and Beadin Hallaqi, with whom connected an ideal that until its completion did not win a part of them fell, a part facing international justice”, he said, recalling former KLA leaders who are in custody at The Hague in the Netherlands.
On the other hand, Prizren chairman stressed that this is an important moment to honour Ahmeti's vital work, which, according to him, played a major role in establishing Albanians in northern Macedonia and subsequently contributed to the stability of the Western Balkans.
