He was playing a veteran's friend, dying on the field of former Saranda football player.

Frede Mercour, former football player of Saranda Butrint, has passed away at the age of 62.

Mercour gave his soul in the green field while playing in a friendly game of Butrint veterans, against several former Greek footballers.

The 62-year-old fell unconscious in the field and was immediately transported by ambulance to the hospital, where even the rapid intervention of doctors did not suffice to restore him to life.

The news was also confirmed by the sarandus club on social networks, where among other things, he expressed condolences about Fred Mercour's separation from life.
