Kurt also spoke about the decision to give 25 hectares to the Decani Monastery.
He said this “decision was difficult, but inevitable”.
On March 13th, we made a very difficult decision, yet we continue to believe inevitable. Within the framework of Kosovo's membership in the Council of Europe, the process was blocked by the activists because Kosovo had been set three preconditions, before the process progressed further. As a result of the lobbiing of our institutions, for which I thank the MPJD, it was achieved that from these three conditions, progress is provided with only one precondition, implementation of the Constitutional Court's decision regarding the Decani Monastery”, Kurti said.
On the other hand, after long legal examinations we made sure that this case was not a precedent and there was no legal and legal means to counter it, that. Today we find ourselves in the most favourable situation in this process, the Bakoyannis report recognises the fulfillment of all conditions, and it clearly says other pledges must be met after membership”, Kosovo Government chief Albin Kurti added.
