Stano has stressed that the issue of association is essential and urgent for implementation.
“in the history of the dialogue, we have a series of recurrences. Not long ago, we marked the first anniversary of the Ohrid Agreement, and in the case of this agreement, we have clarified that implementation is the key, as well as other agreements. They have to be implemented. The issue of association is one of the core and urgent issues, and the EU along with the international partners, we have been and we remain clear with Kosovo that they must implement it because failure to do so means consequences”, he has stated.
He has said that progress in implementing these agreements is directly linked to the progress of Kosovo and Serbia on the road to EU membership.
If the states do not meet their obligations, Stano warned that there will be serious consequences and that the people of Kosovo and Serbia will be the only one to suffer.
He has added that meeting the agreements is important for citizens of these countries, and their failure to comply will only harm them.
And if the states don't take steps in implementing their obligations, there will be serious consequences, and the only ones who will suffer will be the people they claim to protect or act in their own interests. The only ones who will pay for this will be the people in Kosovo and Serbia, if there is no movement in fulfilling commitments that have been made within the dialogue”, Stano has declared.
