CEC spokesman Valmir Elezi, at a news conference, has indicated that all polling stations have opened in the north.
“Building on the data we have received from the Municipal Election Commissions, we announce that all polling stations have been opened”, he said.
Elez has shown the number of polling stations in four northern municipalities.
Even according to earlier CEC reports, the number of polling centres in the Leposaviqi municipality is 8, at Zubin Potok 5, in Zvecan 5 and North Mitrovica 5. In general, the number of polling centres in these four municipalities is 23, with a total of 63 seats. ”
Elez has said that the number of citizens rightly vote for the voting process for or against the departure of mayors from office in the municipalities of Leposaviq, Zubin Potok, Zvecan and Northern Mitrovica is 46,556 voters.
He has invited citizens in the north to use the right to vote.
“On behalf of the CEC, I invite all citizens of the Leposaviq municipalities, Zubin Potok, Zvecan and North Mitrovica to use their right to participate in the voting process and declare whether they are for or against leaving the post of their mayor. ”
