Borrell: Iran's crackdown on Israel represents unprecedented escalation

European Union Foreign Affairs chief Josep Borrell has condemned Iran's attacks on Israel as a “escalation of unprecedented”.

“The EU strongly condemns the unacceptable Iranian attack against Israel”, he wrote on the X platform.

This is an unprecedented escalation and a serious threat to regional security”, he added.

Borrell and the EU also condemned Israel's attack on April 1st at the Iranian consulate in Damascus, Syria.
