43 years of 1981 demonstrations

Following the March 11th and March 26th demonstrations, on April 1st and April 2, 1981, the largest political demonstration was organised in Pristina by the then organised youth, which was also the beginning of the Yugoslav Federation's destruction. Following the March 11th and March 26th demonstrations, on April 1st and April 2, 1981, the largest political demonstration was organised in Pristina by the then organised youth, which was also the beginning of the Yugoslav Federation's destruction.
With the demands of demonstrators: “Kosovo Republika”, we wanted freedom, equality, justice”, “We wanted union”, “to free political prisoners”, and many other demands were solidified by all the Kosovo Albanian people and wider, then organised demonstrations from youth and other cities of Kosovo.
These demonstrations are also considered a nationalistic spirit for the creation of independent national states.
The 1981 demonstrations, March 11, and then March 24, as well as April 1 and 2, took place with full mass, finally including students and the working class at the time.
The Inquisition first started individually with students, and became masovically with workers of the Construction Nation “Ramiz Sadiku” in Pristina.
In those serious but glorious events in the history of our people, power killed 9 demonstrators, injured 15, and hundreds arrested and imprisoned, punished him for years and years of serious political prison.
Yugoslav regime forces had two people killed and 17 wounded. / KP
