Field change works start on “

A day after signing the bar exchange contract at Stadium “Fadil Vokri”, works have begun for its renovation.

The Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports has announced yesterday that it has signed contracts worth 1m and 319 thousand euros with the Turkish company “Hatko Sports International L. L.C.”

The agreement between the FFK and the MKRS for renovation of the field at the city stadium in Pristina had been reached since 24 November last year. The stadium is expected to open in late summer, although no date has been set for the start of the work.

The field's status in “In the autumn, due to the load and lack of proper maintenance, international matches have barely been played in this stadium. The Balkans were not allowed to play the last match in the Conference League in “Fadil Vokri” and had moved to Tirana.

Criticals about the field situation were numerous, while an Israelite player compared it to pigs' stables.

Kosovo has been forced to both friendlys of March to develop as guests because of the ground on “Fadil Vokri”.
