A meeting between US Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu began at 11:50 local time Wednesday morning at Tel Aviv, according to a group of journalists traveling with the secretary.
The meeting was closed to the press.
Blinken is staying in Israel for meetings with key government officials to pressure a <x0-pause humanitarian” while US international and internal pressure to end the Gaza conflict continues to rise.
He is also expected to travel to the West Coast as part of his trip, CNN reports, broadcast Clankosova.tv.
Blinken said on Tuesday that he would discuss Hamas' response to a proposal aimed at ensuring the freedom of remaining hostages and a sustainable break in the Gaza fighting with Israeli officials.
