Through a Facebook post, Lajcak has stressed the urgent need for normalising relations between Kosovo and Serbia, adding that “normalisation is essential for regional stability, economic development and progress towards the European Union”.

I traveled here today for a series of meetings with our Italian partners. We discussed recent developments in Dialogue on normalising relations between Kosovo and Serbia, broader regional issues and future steps in the coming months. Today, I met with Fabrizio Saggio, Italy's Diplomatic Adviser, Deputy Secretary General at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Carlo Lo Cascio and Adriatic and Balkan Director Andrea Cascone. I am grateful for Italy's continued support and close co-ordination in our joint efforts. From Rome, tomorrow I'm going to Malta for another series of important consultations”, Lajcak said through a Facebook post.

Lajcak has also had meetings in Brussels with Dora Bakojannis, rapporteur for the PACE Political Affairs Commission.

At the beginning of this week, while still in Brussels, I hosted Dora Bakoyannis, Rapporteur for the PACE Political Affairs Commission at our headquarters. We've exchanged updates in our respective files. I informed her about the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue and she informed me of her work in the last few months --”.

Lajcak also wrote that the most intense part of last week was undoubtedly the annual Munich Security Conference.

Last week's most intense performance was undoubtedly the annual Security Conference in Munich last weekend. I have participated in numerous events focused on the Western Balkans, including a public discussion panel for the future of the Western Balkans, where I stressed the urgent need for normalising relations between Kosovo and Serbia. This normalisation is essential for regional stability, economic development and progress towards the European Union”.
