AAK Chairman Ramush Haradinaj, at the end of his visit to the US, has met Rrustem Gecan, who said he united them for dinner with many other Albanians who were the major pillar of national cause for half a century in America.
Haradinaj said that for all, the Albanian-American community has been the main carriers and drivers of the causes for Albanian law.
“I felt good next to them as we held a sincere and open discussion on developments in Kosovo and on issues of national interest”.
“Jem Xhema, Rrustem Gecaj, Harry Bajraktari, Elmi Berisha, Mark Gjonaj, Martin Shkreli, Gani Shehu and all the other brothers present have made an undeniable contribution to our aspirations for freedom, independence and strengthening of citizenship, serving as an excellent example of how it works for the nation from every corner of the world”, Haradinaj wrote.
Furthermore, the AAK leader indicated that he has urged them that, under the current circumstances Kosovo is going through, to engage even more so as to experience strategic dialogue with the US and, above all, Kosovo's NATO membership.
“While thanking Albania's ambassador to the UN, Mr. Ferid Hoxha for his extraordinary work. I told you with full conviction that their commitment to the national issue will be assessed throughout the generations and that their contribution is and will remain part of our” history, he wrote.
