Kosovo's Special Prosecutor has filed charges against a person for war crimes against the civilian population during wartime in Kosovo.

Through a media report, the Special Prosecutor has described the accused V. He allegedly killed the two M.A. and US victims, as well as injured the US.
According to the indictment, criminal acts were committed during the 1998-1999 period in the town of Suhareka. The defendant, acting in co-ordination with other members of Serbian police and military forces, has violated international law regulations, committing the murder of two M.A. and US victims, as well as the injuries of the injured US. Pristina, December 23, 2024 The Special Prosecutor of the Republic of Kosovo has filed charges at the Constitutional Court in Pristina, the Special Department, against defendants V. N, due to well-based suspicion that co-ordination committed criminal work “wage war against civilian population”, sanctioned with Article 142 concerning Article 22 of RSFJ's Criminal Law.
According to the indictment, criminal acts were committed during the 1998-1999 period in the town of Suhareka. The defendant, acting in co-ordination with other members of Serbian police and military forces, has violated international law regulations, carrying out the murder of two M.A. and US victims, as well as the injuries of the injured US.
In support of nines 234 par.2 and 303 pars.7 of the KPP, the Special Prosecutor has proposed to hold the trial in absentia because the defendant V. It's unattainable for justice organs, and the legal conditions of Article 234 have been met. The KPP, for setting up indictment in absentia.
This criminal case has already passed on to the Special Department of the Foundation Court in Pristina.
