Pristina municipality calls on citizens for care to grow in crowded spaces during holidays

A communique issued by the Pristina Community on Facebook reportedly fills the capital with many visitors and activities, so it is important to be careful.

“During the days of the upcoming holidays, when our capital is filled with joy, visitors, and numerous activities, it is important that each of us show increased concern for the security and overall welfare of” is written, among other things, in the post.

Dear citizens of Pristina,

During the days of the upcoming festivals, when our capital is filled with joy, visitors, and numerous activities, it is important that each of us show increased concern for our overall security and welfare.

We prefer vigilance and cooperation from all citizens:

• Observe the circle, and immediately alert the authorities to any suspicious cases, situations, or individuals who may pose a threat to order and security.

• Emergency Contacts: Kosovo Police 192 Firemen 193 RIX 194, Emergency Operations Center 0800 122 33 or 122 44.

• Do not hesitate to report abandoned tools or packages in public spaces.

We pray for increased care in crowded spaces like:

• City's main centers and centers

• Commercial and festive spaces

• Points of cultural organization and other public activities.

Basic rules for a safe party:

• Take care of your personal belongings during the crowd movement.

• Respect safety instructions and traffic signals.

• Do not block public access and exits.

The measures to be implemented during the holidays are the following:

1. Increasing Presence of Order Forces and Security

• Additional patrols will be present in the main squares and large - density areas of citizens.

2. Warning on description and use of pyrotechnic tools

• We remember citizens that the use of pyrotechnics is dangerous and forbidden in public space.

• There will be additional checks from the respective organs.

3. Emergency Assistance and Emergency Services

• All emergency teams of Kosovo Capital and Police will be ready 24/7 for any possible situation.

4. Call for added caution

• We invite citizens to take special care of children and older ones in large crowds.

As always, the welfare of our capital is shared responsibility. By remaining careful and cooperative, our festivals will be safer and more joyful for all.
