Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani has met with Hungarian Minister for European Union Affairs Yanos Boca, with whom they have discussed the current political and security situation, strengthening bilateral relations, the European integration process and regional stability.
“President Osmani stressed that Kosovo is a positive example in the region, as it has taken important steps in strengthening rule of law, fighting corruption and organised crime, improving transparency and promoting good governance. ”
Osmani has said Kosovo is committed to European integration and asked Bocas for support in advancing Kosovo's application for EU candidate status.
She added that it is necessary to remove EU measures on Kosovo.
“According to President Osmani, Kosovo's commitment to European integration remains strong, as it continues to work towards meeting EU membership criteria, so it called for support for advancing Kosovo's application for EU candidate status. In this context, President Osmani reaffirmed the need to remove EU measures against Kosovo, which other than being unfair, directly affect the interest of Kosovo citizens, indiscriminately. ”
Osmani has also said that Kosovo is committed to full and professional investigation of Zubin Potok's terrorist attack in Varag.
“In response to recent developments in the country's north, President Osmani reiterated Kosovo's commitment to a full and professional investigation into terrorist attacks on vital infrastructure, which aimed at directly damaging citizens' lives. President Osmani stressed the need for the international community's unique stance in order to avoid repeating such terrorist attacks by criminal gangs, which are supported, trained and financed by Serbia. ”
