Northern Macedonia Deputy Foreign Affairs Minister Zoran Dimitrevski has visited Corca this Thursday, where he has spoken about the debate created in Skopje for the language law that he has concluded at the Constitutional Court.
He said no initiative would affect joint decisions, such as the Ohrid Agreement signed with Albanians, or Prespa's, signed with Greece.
“There are initiatives to review some of the various language issues and laws in Macedonia, such as the Albanian language. These decisions and revisions are not intended to influence the use of Albanian. These are issues of language specifications, uniformity, military, banking. It is still in court, but will not have unconstitutional decisions that will affect the use of Albanian language in Macedonia. We want Albanians to feel free and secure, but it is important that the Macedonian language be assessed by all citizens in Macedonia”, Dimitrevski said, A2cn.
Foreign Minister RMV is located in Korca for the 80th anniversary of Macedonian language learning in Albania. He expresses gratitude to official Tirana, which has allowed the Macedonian community to learn and speak their mother tongue without a problem.
It is a historic possibility because we are close neighbours and we appreciate that Albania has allowed Macedonians to express their language. There are bridges of co-operation between the two countries and both countries want to become EU countries and work on linguistic and cultural issues”, he underlined.
