Identification of five Kosovo arms trafficking suspects detected

These are the persons arrested under the joint operation of the Albanian, Kosovo and Europol police for arms trafficking. It's about the citizens: Cleo Muchaliu 26; Aurel Manreka 28; Andrew Papa 34; Gersi Lojozha 22 as well as Tony Shkambi, 53,

Under this operation, the investigation, which began in February this year, seized 64 firearms of different types. The pistols came from Turkey they were modified in Kosovo and then headed towards EU countries. Their transportation was carried out by bus but also by car.

The arms trafficking group was initially hit in Albania in May, where four citizens from Kosovo were arrested. They had transported 10 firearms from Kosovo to our bus country. Police said they are suspected of even broader involvement and investigations are ongoing.
