“is continuing the period of voter registration application outside Kosovo, which started 29 August and will be completed on December 26th 2024. According to data, by December 3rd, via electronic platform (http://diaspora.kqz-x.org), more than 25,100 census requirements have been accepted, of which 23,618 and another 1.525 have been refused. In most cases rejected, applicants have not been photographed, while holding the identification document” simultaneously, told Express.
Elez has added that 6,228 Kosovo citizens are registered to physically vote on the 3,575 diplomatic representative are registered to send the ballot package to the CEC mailbox in Kosovo and 13,815 are registered to send the ballot package to the mailbox outside Kosovo.
It is important to stress that the voter registration process outside Kosovo is not exclusive. This means that if a citizen is refused to apply, this is not a final refusal, as the same has the right to re-Apply. The CEC informs the rejected applicants individually because of their refusal to request, and also rejected applicants are announced that they can re-apply for registration and attach the documents needed to meet their request in line with CEC guidelines.”
