The Kosovo Football Federation has reacted during today, about last night's events in Bucharest.
The response comes from the racist behaviour of Romanian fans at the “Arena Nationala” stadium.
Two minutes before the end of the match, Romanian fans began calling Serbia “, Serbia” in the stadium, with the dardanan football players dropping the playing field, not coming back.
Thus, match judge Marten Crogh ended the match only with the Romanian national in the field.
After this rude event last night in Romania, the FF has also reacted.
This is the complete response of WEK:
“Kosovo Football Fund (FFK) strongly condemns the provocations and racist behaviors that occurred during last night's match between Romania and Kosovo in Bucharest, under the U EFA Nations League. The match was interrupted due to continued racist and anti-Kosovo calls from Romanian fans, who repeated racist and provocative behaviour that seriously damage the spirit of fair play, football values and are in stark opposition to UEFA regulations and principles.
Calls such as “Cosovo is Serbia” and “Serbia, Serbia”, whistles during the intonation of Kosovo's national anthem, throwing strong items into the stadium and other offensive and provocative actions were present throughout the match, creating an unacceptable and not safe atmosphere for our players.
NFFK had warned more than twice in writing of U's relevant organs EFA for the possibility of such actions, once a few days before the match and then minutes before its launch. Despite these warnings, Romanian fans continued with irresponsible and discriminatory behaviour, forcing the Kosovo National to leave the field due to lack of security and dignity.
The match, which until the moment of interruption had an excellent performance by the Kosovo National and a score of 0:0, escalated further due to fans' refusal to stop their racist and provocative calls. Despite our coach's efforts, Mr. Foda, to succeed in playing and eliminating such actions by Romanian fans, however, even during the break-up of racist behavior continued. In such a situation, players rightly chose to respect regulations against U's racism EFA and defend Kosovo state dignity as an equal member UEFA and FIFA.
Moreover, after the match, a Romanian official intervened at the Kosovo National press conference, removing journalists and then, in an unacceptable move, threatened and attacked a Kosovo player in the stadium corridors. This shameful and unacceptable behavior led to the immediate response of NFF representatives.
For all these serious violations, the NK has immediately reported the incidents to the match delegation and has started preparing a full case of facts and evidence to be handed over to the UEFA disciplinary bodies.
We believe that W EFA will act in line with its fundamental values to strongly condemn racist language and other unacceptable actions that took place during this match.
NFFK reaffirms its commitment to protecting the dignity of the National of Kosovo and football values, but also the principles of U FIFA's EFA for politics-free football and respect of dealtar-play, as a game that should unite rather than divide. Racism and discrimination have no place in sports, nor in our society”, it is written in the response of the NFF.
