Trial of former LVV and others charged with hooliganism is postponed

In the absence of state prosecutor and indictees, the former Vetvendosje Movement Minister Egzon Azemi, Veron Hasani and Valmir Osmanaj, at the Pristina Constitutional Court on Thursday, has failed to hold sessions in the case where they are being accused of hooliganism and destruction or property damage. Hasan and Osmanaj are accused of hooliganism in protest [...]
Hasan and Osmanaj are charged with hooliganism in the Vetevendosje protest on October 12th 2015, while Azem is charged with destruction or damage to property, reports “Justice Vow”.
The court found that the state prosecutor is missing at this hearing, even though it was said there was evidence that he was invited in a regular manner, while the absence did not reason, but did not provide details to the prosecutor/the one who would represent at today's session.
Also, for the absence of indictees Hasani and Osmanaj, case judge Adnan Kamberi announced that they have been regularly invited, but that the lack has not reasoned.
And to the accused Azem, Judge Kamber said that they did not accept the leaflet, which according to him confirms that the same was regularly invited.
Judge Kamberi, in the absence of legal conditions for holding the session, pushed the same for another date.
Otherwise, a court process is under way against accused Azma, as well as hooliganism, assaulting police officials at the 2015 protests.
According to the Basic Prosecutor's Act in Pristina, founded on July 14, 2016, defendants Veron Hasani and Valmir Osmanaj are charged with breaking the glass and damaging the walls of this facility, with violent, hooligan actions, placing strong tools in the direction of police and police station building objects, causing serious damage and consequences.
For these actions, accused Hasan and Osmanaj are charged that each single person has committed criminal work “The participation in the crowd that committed criminal acts and hooliganism” by Article 412, paragraph 3 concerning the 4th paragraph of the Republic of Kosovo Penal Code.
At the point of two of this act, Vetevendosje's former vetoist, Egzon Azemi, is charged that on October 12, 2015, during the Vetevendosje protest, deliberately and by violent, hooligan actions, he threw hard-stone tools, concrete cubes, towards official cars, damaging the official car parked in front of the Prosecution Council's target.
For these actions, Azem is accused of committing criminal work “the annihilation or damage to property” by Article 333 par.1 of the Republic of Kosovo Penal Code.
