After Romania was given victory in the cancelled match against Kosovo, Sweden lost the opportunity to crack at the Bora Cup play-off.
With three points against Kosovo, Romania won the C division of the League of Nations before Sweden. The first country means a playoff at the World Cup.
The Decision U n EFA was not joyfully welcomed by the leaders of the Swedish national. The federation's manager, Kim Källstrom, explained that Sweden will try to influence the issue.
“We have noted that Kosovo has filed complaints. We are conducting this issue and are in contact with the Kosovo Football Federation. We think the matches should be placed in the field”, Källstrom said in a statement to the media.
The reason the match ended was that Kosovo refused to play after the players heard Serbia's calls from the tribuna.
U n EFA considered Kosovo responsible for suspending the match, while fined Romania for racist and inappropriate behaviour of fans.
