After the meeting of the SBASK Steering Council, in which the current situation has been analysed, and strong and reasonable criticism of the Government and separately towards the Ministry of Education for Lack of Dialogue and due to the wrong approach to legitimate requirements of SBASK membership, and separately to the objective deadlock of Minister Nagvci's negotiating with the Koleve Education Treaty, in Sunday's evening hours the meeting has been held with mayoral president of the university, and all have reiterated the Steering Council's decision to start with diplomatic action. ”
This protest will be held before the Ministry of Education and then marched towards the Government and the Parliament. The “decided that the first union action would be a protest on December 4th with the participation of mayors and leaders from all union associations from nurserys to universities, members of the Steering Council, heads of municipal level and central leadership, and being about 2,000 protesters. This protest will start before the Ministry of Education and then march towards the Government and the Parliament of Kosovo. ”
The SBASK has announced they will continue with other union actions.
“This will be the first union action in the wake of this year's May 1 protest and continued efforts for dialogue, and it will be continued with other union actions, not excluding the entire education sector strike if the Government and the Ministry of Education in particular does not reflect and start negotiating for the new Coective Convention of Education, which is the basis that provides respect and protection of education workers' rights and there is no state in the world that claims to be democratic and has not signed the Koec agreement on the collective sector level, but this is therefore happening in respect for the will of the education workers, and therefore we are pursuing it as a social membership. The SBASK, for all commitments and dedication to membership requirements, enjoys the strong support of the Union of Unions of Europe, numbering 11 million members and the World Education International, numbering 32 million members from around the world. ”
