The Special Court has announced that the Judicial Chamber has refused the defence request to allow Peter Shala not to appear at the Order's announcement hearing on November 29th or to postpone the session's date.
In the special announcement, it becomes known that the Judicial Chamber has concluded that the prosecution's presence in this session is legitimate under Law and Order.
On November 22nd, the Judicial Chamber rejected the defense request to allow Peter Shala not to appear at the hearing of the Order's February 29th statement or to postpone the session's date. The Judicial Chamber found that the presence of the accused in this hearing is legitimate according to Law and Order. The Judicial Chamber found that the defence argument, citing Shala's planned visits as extraordinary circumstances, does not justify his failure to look forward to or postpone session”.
However, based on the anticipated short-term trial session, the Judicial Chamber instructed the Administrative Office to facilitate the organisation of Shala's visits on that day as far as possible”, Special Reporting said.
