Council for the Protection of Human Rights and Freedoms ( KMDLNj has assessed Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti's old-time pledge only as an electoral promise to lay charges of genocide against Serbia.
“LVV and Albin Kurti had promised that during the mandate they won by absolute majority, they would sue Serbia for genocide against Kosovo Albanians during the last 1998 1999 war. The Transitional Justice Strategy has been adopted for this, not Founding the Institute for War Crimes,”, they said in a statement to the media.
“Kurti said Kosovo's government is doing a great job in preparing the indictment for genocide, but the cause of the nature of the case, content is confidential as if some corruption ignorant within the KSF tried to deal with the supply of beans for KSF in them as confidential issues or as classified materials. The argument of KM Kurti that one of the reasons for privacy is that Serbia has a hostile attitude, that it is unstable as much as it is funny about the fact that such a lawsuit is not committed to the friendly state. The truth is that with the international status that Kosovo has, it has no right to file such indictments because being a member of the United Nations is impossible to access courts that handle such indictments. The possibility of doing this through a state or another country say it is impossible because no one gets that responsibility, not even Albania.”, involve in the communique.
“The promise of the genocide indictment against Serbia has been and remains the electoral promise that it is unlikely to be realised during this mandate, nor in the next mandate, regardless of who will be at the top of the country. The Institute for War Crimes has no professional capacity to deal with this issue, nor is sufficient materials. Realistically, there is no research activity but that tries to take advantage of the work of others without choosing tools to get to the materials. KMDLNj has enough evidence for this”, said in communiqué among others.
