The grandson of Adam: Our national, my only choice

At the club level, it aims to exit to Europe, but Kosovo is its only choice at national level.

Igball Jashari is one of the most promising talents in Kosovo football, and this is evidenced even with the fact that he already plays the most successful Kosovo club, Pristina.

Igball is the grandson of legendary commander Adem Jashari, and he acknowledges that his love for Kosovo has been learned by his family until the carrying of the sardin fan brings him a special feeling.

For me, it's a very good feeling because I've grown up to a family that is big and I've been told a lot about the country, how we should love Kosovo, and normally when I wear Kosovo's lantern for me it's a lot bigger because I'm from the Jashar family and it's a pretty big feeling for me”, says Jashar for Kosovas.

In fact, as the main goal, Jashar says he has to play the A National of Kosovo.

The objective of each player is National A because I've gone to U15, U17, U19, U21, and for me it's a success to get past the A” National, he adds.

While reluctant to talk about his peers' decisions, Jashari says Kosovo is his only choice at national level.

For them I couldn't speak because everyone knows who he's going to play for, but normally I would play for the Kosovo National”, Jashar points out.

With great admiration, Igball also speaks of his current club, Pristina.

The club from the capital, he considers it the largest “in Kosovo”.

I was with U19 and these (Pristina) watched and told the team, and I came here when coach Ismet Munishi was coached in the first team and played with U19 and then I slowly went to the first team where I scored three goals and I'm already at the first team... playing for Pristina is the greatest and most successful club in Kosovo, the following next.

But beyond the Superleague, Jashar is reaching the international arena, where he can take the big step of his football career.

“Normically every player's intentions once to play here in Kosovo then move on to European teams like many players who have stepped out of the Superlea of Kosovo, and I hope that one day I will get out of Kosovo”, says Jashar at the end.

Born in 2005, Jashar plays in the position of arm attacker and joined Pristina's first team in the summer of 2023. For the club from Kosovo's capital so far it has scored three goals.
