The third day of Halil Chadrak testimony in Thaci case and others

Additional questions for the witness were asked by prosecutor James Pace since defence teams announced they have no questions including Krasniqi's defence.

The witness had said that Ilmi Recica and Ferat Shala were his counterparts for the Drenica and Nerodime area, which did not know what they were doing, reports “Best for Justice”.

While, according to the prosecutor, the witness had said these two persons were either the deputy of Wessel or members of his team.

I think I made this statement in 2019 near the ZPS. 20 years after the war, even my knowledge of Ilmi Recica and Ferat Shala, now I know them but I don't really remember when I saw those two. I may have said that I think because those after the war worked as accomplice to Kadri Wessel, I heard. I think in this context I've said. Chadrak's caretaker lawyer, Arian Koci, also stepped in and asked that questions be displayed on the screen in Albanian rather than English.

After the witness clarified his statement on SPS, it no longer had any questions about the witness.

Before the witness came to the courtroom, Wessel's defence rejected using certain documents as well as their admission to evidence.

Among these documents was Ferat Shala's statement that, according to the same lawyer, has not been called to testify or his testimony has not been accepted through any RIex specialist regulation.

As a result, the chief judge said that no party has issued this statement by Ferat Shala to be admitted to material evidence. And lawyer Dixon said he could be requested in the meantime.

However, the chief judge said that the decision would be made late.

Otherwise, the Specialised Prosecutor's Office, on September 30th, 2022, has handed over the confirmed amended indictment against Hashim Thaci, Kadri Veselini, Jakup Krasniqi and Rexhep Selimi, which consists of ten points of charges, where the latter are charged with war crimes and crimes against humanity.

On April 29th 2022, the Specialised Prosecutor's Office had handed over a amended indictment to Hashim Thaci, Kadri Wessel, Rexhepi and Jakup Krasniqi, where four indictees have committed war crimes even in Gjilan, Budakov and Semtish.

On November 9th 2020, in their first appearances, Hashim Thaci's Jakup Krasniqi has been declared innocent of the charges placed on them. Wessel has also been declared in his presentation on November 10th, as has Rexhep Selimi on November 11th.

The incident against Hashim Thaci, Kadri Veselin, Rexhep Selimi and Jakup Krasniqi is confirmed on October 26, 2020.
