Regarding this factory, Macedonia said that they have consistently developed communication and co-ordinated with partners.
The prime minister of the Republic of Kosovo has signed the decision to form a commission that will lay the foundation of the military industry for the first time in our country, and with this we are launching a new era for completion and closure of the defence and security infrastructure system, trying to create stability even in terms of production and supplies with the” weapons systems.
“This commission will investigate and negotiate, as well as discuss the opening of a state-owned ammunition production plant that will be the first factory of such kind in the Republic of Kosovo”.
For this we have been developing in continued communication, co-ordinating with our partners, and in this case, for the opening of the state ammunition factory, we are in touch and we have accepted a feasibility report with state producers from the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Turkey. We are in the final phase of this project and the commission, which will work and which will be headed by me, will finalise the contract with which we begin for the job of opening the state ammunition factory”, he said.
The opening of this plant, according to Macedonia, will not prevent private sector development in ammunition production.
This will not prevent private sector development in ammunition production, all companies are encouraged to continue their work of opening such factories, given the fact that today more than ever, not only our country, but all our partners, but also in the world as a whole, need to complete the stocks of ammunition and weapons, but also the creation of reserves, given the current security situation and the challenges facing the world in general, but also our <1x>, he said.
The minister also said that this commission would investigate and discuss the possibility of opening a laboratory, as he said, with the aim of designing flyless butterflies.
“It is known that flying without a pilot as a new system, which is being applied to recent wars, both Ukraine and the Middle East, is a necessary and necessary system, and through this laboratory, our country will have the opportunity to work on the design of butterflies, which in the future is thought to be produced right here in our country. Even so, we have discussions with many partners and all the information will be available in the days and months to come.
The key key is that with the opening of the ammunition plant, with the opening of the butterfly design lab, our country is taking a step further in terms of closing and completing the overall defence and security infrastructure, and with which we are guaranteeing stability, not only for the Kosovo Security Force, but for our country in general, but also we are able to make the support of partners from our country in terms of ammunition and weapons system”, he said.
On the other hand, Macedonia has also used the occasion to make a wish for “Force task force day”.
“I take advantage of the case that all active, reserve, retired military personnel, as well as the civilian person of the Kosovo Security Force, wish you “Force day”, November 27,”, the minister said.
