The Kosovo government has agreed to remove restrictions on Serbian goods, as Kosovo is accused of violating the CEFTA Agreement.
Kosovo had become part of CEFTA in 2006, even without Kosovo's independence being declared. So on behalf of Kosovo had signed U n NMICU.

“Special Representative of Secretary General (PSSP) and UNMIK Chief Caroline Ziadeh take into account an agreement reached earlier today between CEFTA parties, including UNMIK, for the adoption of a decision to change the Joint Committee of Labour Order. U n NMIC has consistently played an important role in facilitating and enabling co-operation in CEFTA, supporting the path towards consensus achieved today. This decision paved the way for the adoption of innovative agreements in behalf of and economic prosperity of people in the region”, UNMIK report said.
In Kosovo's public opinion, Prime Minister Kurti has been criticised for the way he opened the country for Serbia's products, which he has consistently opposed.
