The Kosovo Football Federation has warned UEFA of appeals to Kosovo at the Nationals League matches between Czechia and Albania and Serbia and Switzerland.
The FFK's reaction, where it was announced for the action company, was made on Sunday.
Kosovo's “Football Forum strongly condemns showing banners with Kosovo map covered with Serbian flag and inscription “Sjka handover” as well as calls against Kosovo and Albanians heard during the League of Nations, Serbia-Switzer and Czech-Albania matches. These unacceptable acts, which are constantly happening by Serbian fans and fans of several other countries close to such Serb groups, have no place in football and in no sports arena, as hatred and division among peoples and states spread. We recall that such incidents are in complete conflict with the values UEFA and the international football community represent. Football should serve as a powerful platform for promoting peace, coexistence and equality values everywhere. NFFK, as an equal member of other states federations, has prepared the official complaint to U EFA, with evidence of all violations and insults committed to the state of Kosovo, demanding that immediate measures be taken to punish such scenes as strictly and prevent their repetition in the future. Football statistics should serve as spectacles for actual fans, not as a place to disseminate iredentism, racism, and various insults”, wrote NFFK. “The NFFK remains loyal to promoting values, respecting solidarity in sports and will engage at every level to ensure that these acts will be punished by international football mechanisms”.
