Terrorist Attack in Israel, Some Dead and Injured

At least four people have lost their lives and seven have been injured in a terrorist armed attack Tuesday evening in the town of Jaffa, in the central part of Israel, according to an Israeli police statement. Israeli media had earlier reported eight victims.

According to emergency teams, at least four of the wounded were in critical condition.

The attack occurred near the train station in this city and preceded the attack by missiles from Iran.

According to the daily “Jewish Post”, two armed men were seen leaving the train and were subsequently shot dead by security forces.

A police statement said the danger had been neutralised and the situation in Jaffa had been brought under control. Police said families of the victims have already been notified. / VOA
