Interior Minister Jedal Svecla has indicated that this minister has received and accommodated 68 Afghans today for offering temporary protection.
“Based in the decision to gather 220 of the Government of the Republic of Kosovo for the provision of temporary and immediate protection of several Afghan citizens and their family members, the Ministry of Internal Affairs has hosted and accommodated 68 of them today under this” process, writes Svecla on Facebook.
He says knowing the Kosovo people's need for support and housing, they are now opening the doors for those in need.
The “This move is a continuation of our Government's commitment to the crisis in Afghanistan, providing protection and housing for individuals at risk of internal conflicts. Not forgetting that our people before the quarter of a century have felt the need for support and housing, and it has been enabled, today we also open the door to those who need it. This process is successfully under the operational plan and in line with international legislation and standards”, the MPB chief has declared.
