Numerous Serbian citizens today have protested the police object in northern Mitrovica against the arrest of Serbian Democracy leader Aleksandar Arsenijevic, who happened Wednesday afternoon.
They requested the immediate release of Arsenijevic while holding placards in Serbian and English with “content. EULEX which rule is this”, “A is the concerned EU”, “Vec let me go in line”, with pictures of Prime Minister Kurti, etc.
Serbian Democracy deputy head Stefan Veljkovic told Kosovo that citizens today are protesting against “pression” that is being done against Serbs on the part of Prime Minister Albin Kurti.
“Today we are protesting against the depression that the government of Albin Kurti is implementing and we will continue to protest the following days, Veljkovic said.
Protesters, including Serbian List officials, have set out, after about an hour of standing before the police facility, in the direction of the main bridge of Ibri. With the offer being offered next to a local north who was packed with Albanian guests, calls started on Serbia, Serbia, thus provoking guests who were sitting in this bar, while some of them came closer to whistling in front of their faces. Only because of the police's wise response, whose members were lined up in front of this bar, has a possible incident been averted.
The protest has lasted more than an hour and a half, and police have been observing the situation all along. /kp
