German Ambassador to Pristina Jorn Rohde has written about the stance given yesterday by the German emissary Manuel Sarrazin in Gazeta Express's question concerning the removal of visas from Kosovo for citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the blockade of Milorad Dodik.
Rohde has said that Srraz has praised Kosovo's decision to allow visa-free travel for Bosnia and Herzegovina citizens, naming it a positive step in the spirit of the Berlin Process.
Ambassador Rohde has also written about Milorad Dodik's blocking stance as a result of which Bosnia is managing to make a decision on abolishing the Kosovo visa regime.
Rohde says that such an attitude shows disregard for the freedom of movement of his people and disregard for progress.
German Emisari for the Western Balkans, Manuel Sarrazin, at a conference for journalists held a day after the Berlin Process Summit, has said Kosovo's decision to lift the visa regime for Bosnian citizens is a positive step and the true spirit of the Berlin Process.
Sarrazin has also said Germany since 2022 requires Dodik's removal of national veto to unblock decision-making about allowing Kosovars to travel to Bosnia and Herzegovina only with ID.
Sarrazin has made it clear that this is very important to happen and has stressed that there will be “karamele” for Dodik in exchange for lifting the veto.
