At the joint press conference with Ambassador Gonzato, Prime Minister Rama said that “is a ritual every October, we receive the results of the annual citizenship exams in the mirror of the European Union's progress report”.
This October's “is special because a few weeks ago in Luxembourg, Albania's Second Intergovernmental Conference with the EU was held for the opening of negotiations for the first group of 8 chapters and criteria, “Team”. The conference, as you know, affirmed recognition by all EU institutions and countries of progress made by Albania in meeting the conditions for this phase of negotiations for EU membership and all that has been said and is highlighted in the new report by the European Commission”, Rama said.
The head of the Albanian government said the 2024 Progress Report is the most positive of all these years.
I am very pleased that today we receive a very positive report, the most positive of all these years, and of course, because such is the country's performance and the Second Intergovernmental Conference actually affirmed recognition by all EU institutions and countries of progress made by Albania in meeting the conditions in this phase of negotiations for membership”, Rama said.
Prime Minister Rama noted that the <x0port is more real and balanced, and as he recognises all the efforts and progress made, he accurately marks the milestones for steps to be made further, as well as the issues where we should focus on meeting the membership conditions and in the ambassador's summary presentation was very clear what the addresses should be made at this new phase of the” process.
