Opposition deputies assault RTK, not allowed entry

MPs from opposition parties in Kosovo have been targeting the Kosovo Radio Television facility, in sign of disappointment that today's Assembly session was not broadcast directly on the central channel.

MPs during the hearing had warned they would go to RTK and send transcripts of their speeches. But they are not allowed to enter the object.

In press motion ahead of RTK's facility, PDK Parliamentary Group chief Abelard Tahiri has called on chief of the chief of the task of RTK's director and board to resign.

“RTK is extremely scary. A month ago, we were also confronted with the lives of some journalists from two highly respected spirit mediums in our country. Today, when in the Kosovo Assembly, a relative who receives abuses of around 20 million euros -- at this point RTK, whether the general director, Daytona or anyone else -- decided what had happened before. He moved the Kosovo Assembly session into a peripheral programme, not broadcasting it into the central programme. It's unacceptable. As Kosovo citizens today should hear how they are stolen from the 20m-euro black hats through the drinking water of our country. Dejona's black hats today at RTK can shut the door, just a little bit longer. Today every citizen of our country sees their abuse, feels their abuse”, Tahiri said. “I calls on RTK's directorial taskman and board members to resign from these positions. They can't be leaders of RTK. They can lead RTK, choke free speech, drown the opposition voice”.

Democratic League of Kosovo MP Armend Zemaj has stated that February 9th as the election date is remote “when the Government will receive the award for those who have made it to the citizen”.

He said in front of RTK's doors that this situation should be stopped because democracy cannot drown.

“February 9th, when they will receive the prize for what they did to the citizen”, Zemaj said. /Time
