That is how US Assistant Secretary of State for Europe and Eurasia James O'Brien described the process of dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia, which stressed that the US supports this process.
He stressed that the country should take advantage of this opportunity, since, according to him, Kosovo cannot have it for a long time.
We wanted both countries and all countries in the region to move as fast as possible. We want borders to stay open so that societies can work together in exporting goods, goods and for people to work and live in another country. We want the country to take advantage of this opportunity because sometimes you have an opportunity and if you don't want to use it, you won't have it for a long time”, O'Brien said at “Politto”.
Asked whether he received any positive messages or signals from the prime minister regarding the dialogue during the meeting, O'Brien said Kurti understands that for Kosovo now is a unique moment, while in particular he mentioned transitions to the EU and the US expected to occur, which according to him, these provide a good opportunity for Kosovo.
