US soldiers of KFOR's East Regional Command have conducted several vehicle raids in the Leposaviqi municipality on Monday, the peacekeeping mission of the EU has announced. NATO.
US soldiers assigned to the Regional Command in the East of the NATO-led KFOR mission have realised vehicle checkpoints within the Leposaviqi municipality. These efforts are part of KFOR's daily mission to ensure a safe environment for all communities living in Kosovo,” said in the KFOR statement.
KFOR continues to implement its mandate, based on UN Security Council Resolution 1244, contributing to a safe and free environment for movement for all Kosovo citizens.
This mission is carried out in co-operation with the Kosovo Police and the EU Mission for Rule of Law (EULEX), which are the first and second security responders, respectively.
