Hovenier calls for open and comprehensive process in the competition he declared KKPK

US Ambassador Jeff Hovenier has called for an open and comprehensive process in the open competition by the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council.

Through a post at “X”, Hovenier said that public confidence in the prosecutorial system and on the candidates who are selected depends greatly on this selection process.

The Kosovo Prosecutor's Council has opened competitions for the chief prosecutor's five positions on Monday. The US echoes the EU's call for a fair, open and inclusive selection process that praises merit and gender representation. Public confidence in the prosecutor's system and selected candidates depends largely on the credibility of the processes administered by KPK”, Havener has said.

On Monday, the KKP has opened a competition for the appointment of chief prosecutors of the Kosovo Republic of Kosovo.
