The commander of the NATO-led KFOR mission, General Enrico Bardun, has met today in Pristina the chief of the EU's Law Rule mission (EULEX), Major General Giovanni Pietro Barbano.
They exchanged opinions on a range of topics, including KFOR activities, its co-operation with the EU's mission for Rule of Law (EULEX) and continued security efforts in support of EU facilitated dialogue between Pristina and Belgrade.
” KFOR continues to implement its mandate based on UN Security Council Resolution 1244 of 1999 to provide a safe and secure environment for all communities living in Kosovo and freedom of movement at any time and impartially”, it says, among other things.
KFOR is the third security reacter, behind the Kosovo Police and the EU Law Rule Mission (EULEX), respectively, with which they work in close co-ordination.
