Three accused of terrorist attack in Banjska declared innocent

At the Foundation Court in Pristina, preparation hearings were held on Wednesday in the case of the Banjska attack, in which two indictees -- Vdalmir Tolliq and Blagoje Spasojevic -- refused to plead guilty to this phase of the process.
The judge of the case found that by law, this action means that they refuse guilt.
The third indictee present in the courtroom, Dusan Maksimovic, was acquitted.
Spasojevich lawyer Lubomir Pantovic told Radio Free Europe that the accused have the right to accept or partially accept guilt at a later stage.
Wednesday's session began with reading the names of the accused in the courtroom while the prosecutor read the indictment.
On September 11th, the Kosovo Special Prosecutor filed charges against 45 people who are accused of terrorism, terrorism financing and other serious criminal acts, but only three of them are available to justice bodies.
After today's session, the defense has 30 days to appeal the charge.

Kosovo's Special Prosecutor charges the accused in the Banjska case, among other things, with terrorist acts and works against Kosovo's constitutional order and security.
Earlier, the case prosecutor, Naim Abazi, has said the accused had different roles within the criminal group from organising and directing terrorist activities to financing and money laundering.
The indictment says that this group, through the use of heavy-armed violence, has attempted “the northern part of the territory of the Republic of Kosovo, respectively, Serb-run municipalities, and this part of the territory of joining the Republic of Serbia”.
As leader of this group, Milan Radociq has been identified, allegedly playing an important role in co-ordinating assault and criminal activities.
Radovacic is on the US and United Kingdom blacklist for links to international organised crime and corruption.
In Kosovo, it also relates to the murder of a Serbian opposition politician, as well as to witness intimidation in a judicial process for some illegal construction.
In the indictment, the Prosecution cites 34 evidence files, among which there are videos, analysis of electronic devices, different answers from Luxembourg, Bosnia and Herzegovina, different banks and institutions, witness statements, etc. / REL
