If Barcelona wins Spain's Supercup, it evens a Real Madrid record

El Classico is always a special match, but it's even better when the trophy is in the race, as will happen on Sunday (now) when Barcelona and Real Madrid meet in the final of Spain's Supercup in Riyadh.
Both teams will enjoy their chances of defeating their bitter rivals and in this process, to win the first season trophy in Spanish football.
From Barcelona's perspective, this would be a big moral increase after months of difficulty under coach Xavi Hernandez.
If Barcelona were successful Sunday evening, they would pass on 100 trophies won over the years, according to Mundo Deportiveos.
Their success in La League last season saw them reach 99, and a victory in the finals of the French Super Cup meant they would achieve 100 trophies in all races. It also meant that they would equal Real Madrid, who has already won 100 and wins 101 tonight.

While this is unlikely to be an additional motivating factor for Xavin and its players, Barcelona will hope to equalise Real Madrid's trophy number.
Otherwise, Los Blankos can move twice (99-101) in front of the Catalans if Carlo Anceplott's team is successful in Riyadh.
