Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani, in an interview for “Politco”, has said she has made it clear since June 1st that Kosovo is ready to organise new elections in four municipalities in the north. But, Osmani has said it takes internationals to be careful not to allow Serbia's president, Aleksandar Vuciq, to intervene again in another country's elections.
She has said that the boycott of elections in the north was not voluntary, but was the cause of pressure being put on the local population in the north. She has said there have been cases that Serbs who have wanted to vote have been beaten or kidnapped by people of Serbia's secret service, who are headed by Aleksandar Vulin, a man on the US blacklist.
Osmani has said it must ensure that everything is done in full co-ordination with international partners and allies to avoid tensions.
“Tensions do not help anyone, make people feel insecure, remove potential investors from our country, although Kosovo is a very secure state. And tensions also take so much energy from institutions, instead of dealing with reforming the education system, health, and creating jobs. Kosovo's story is the history of joint shares. We've always been successful when we worked together with partners, Allied”, Ousmane stressed.
