Ukrainian journalist Irina Synelnyk has, since not mentioning imposing sanctions on Russia from Serbia, has said the time has come to stay with those who support and recognise Kosovo.
Irina Synelyk and Luidmyla, Ukrainian journalists who have stayed in Kosovo and who have now returned to Ukraine for family reasons, have sent to the Association of Kosovo Journalists, photographs as a sign of thanks.
Synelnyk has written on Facebook that Ukraine still does not recognise the Republic of Kosovo, which declared its independence in 2008, and Serbia continues to reject the expansion of the circle of countries that have diplomatic relations with Pristina.
She has also mentioned the meeting of Serbian President Aleksandar Vuciq with Ukraine's President Voldymyr Zelensky during the Balkan Summit in Greece.
“However, after taking part in the Crimea platform, the next day Serbian government representatives have declared they have not supported Ukraine in the issue of the Crime Decoveration. Serbia provides humanitarian aid to Ukraine, there are separate efforts for weapons supply, but it does not impose sanctions against Russia, and often changes position. Including statements: If “Ukrainian recognises Kosovo, one day it will lose everything”. Serbia presents Russian interests in the Balkans. Recently, promotion of one of the TG channels with the slogan " “Russians and Serbs are brothers forever”. Hence, it may be assumed that this country will act according to scenarios created in the Kremlin. On the other hand, Kosovo, whose citizens survived the 1998-1999 war, pursued Ukraine without forgiveness, so it is most likely that the time has come to stay with those who support us and set no conditions for us. It is time to get to know Kosovo. After participating in the “Residency programme in Kosovo”, man wants to believe that Kosovo will be the first country with which Ukraine will improve diplomatic relations after winning war”, it has written.
